A blur of brown and the clash of metal against metal. The man in brown was in the fray and shoved the girl behind him with his wrapped arm, a wide swing deflected the daggers and the swordsman, although not completely. His blade tore through the brown cloak and hit azure armor in one place. A crimson glare forced the Frenchman back in spite of himself while the snow around him seemed to blow backwards as well. "What is the meaning of this... I invited her as my guest, and as such, she is in my care for now. She will not be harmed." He eyed the rat as it scampered over to his master.

"You," The Frenchman spat. "Tactical retreat we must, yes? You will not escape my wrath, pretty one! Shakrel will have your heads!"
He ran off after, rat hissing at the two before joining him.

Iria coughed from the cold, "nice parry, it seems you've saved my life twice this night." She stepped around to the front of him, looking in the direction the new enemy retreated. Turning herself towards the cloaked figure she looked over him, noting his cloak got ripped. "You're not hurt at all are you?" She had a feeling they would be seeing that man and rat sooner than they expect.
Shakrel paced under the moonlit sky, snow twisted around his legs in an angry whirlwind. "Sir? Maybe we should go down there ourselves." "He should be able to handle the situation, I know him. No sense wasting our energy." And so they waited.

"I'm fine... ...but I didn't know that you were being followed by a group of admirers. They are a neusance..." He took a moment to adjust his cloak for the gash in it. "What do you intend to do about them...?"

"I was hoping to outrun them, I am no match single handedly against the army who are now apparently giving chase to me." She sounded just a tad frustrated, though started heading back to the cave. "I'm probably more pain than company if they're following me."

"Army...?" The suprise in his voice was genuine, if a bit amused. "Didn't know I was keeping company with such a notorious ne'r do well." She could hear the smile in his voice, along with something of a question remaining unasked.

"Notorious? Hardly." she grinned," ok, so I took some supplies from his camp yesterday," she looked to the cloaked mans eyes, or where they would be in the darkness, "I had a little confrontation with a warlord, Shakrel... you hear about him before? Rumor has it he is a better swordsman than Nightmare... I don't believe that myself, but I guess some people do." she waved her hand dismissivly, entering the cave to warm up again.

"That's quite the boast - the Azure Knight is rumored to be nigh invincible. I suppose it could be, though, as legend has it that he has been defeated before." Nightmare didn't like the thought of something more powerful than he walking around down there, stalking after him. But the thought of the souls of this man's army... A little on the weak side, but their quantitiy would make up for their quality.

"How many times must I tell you now to sneak up on me, Sivech?!" Shakrel looked behind him, where the Frenchman was excited. "It's him, it's him! The Azure Knight, yes? Vhat shall we do, Master? Oh, what shall we do?! We vill die! Die!"

Shakrel's eyes widened only for a moment, his army is too inexperienced, if anything he needs them far away for now, at least until he can get proper warriors. "Sivech, track them. Do not engage unless you believe you can get the woman to me... alive." Throwing Sivech a bag of supplies Shakrel ordered his men out, wrapping his cloak around himself. He would go to the nearest village, take all the fighters he can. He needs more warriors.
"Hm, maybe, I don't know though. I'm sure he could have dealt with both of us if he were down here, instead he sends a little french guy and a rat. I must admit, he was quite a swordsman... bit creepy." She scratched the back of her neck, "Whats our next move?" It was still dark though Iria predicted the sun will be coming up in a few hours.

"Well, if you feel you're rested enough, we can press on. You haven't slept much by my count, but it is up to you. The mountains are treacherous by night and by day, but the latter does not conceal our foes as well, not does it make us hard to find."

She picked up her pack and threw it over her shoulder, "best move would to keep going on our way, i'm not too worried about sleep."

The Frenchman cackled as he shouldered the supplies. "Master be proud of Sivech when Sivech bring girl back. Maybe. Or maybe Shakrel be mad... maybe Sivech did bad thing..."
And with that, he set off.

Iria came back out of the cave, "so which way we off to?"
