An Ithkul rushed the group... and let out a death cry as lightning struck it. The attacker was a cloaked man on a roof, who vanished just as it was incinerated. And appeared, once more, behind Austin.
"You people are the associates of Inky, I assume." This mysterious man, Creep, was not... harsh. He was just... cold. And did not worry. So what if a plant exploded? So what if an ancient race of monsters were on a rampage? This would get done. And Astrox would suffer.
"So, what are you still doing here? Join up with Inky. I will handle this." He assumed a combat stance, lightning energy gathering in his hands as weapons. The man passed Austin, looked back, shouted "Go, now!" and stabbed a charging Ithkul, kicking it away into a smoldering heap.

Astarte rose slowly from the rubble and shook herself free. Looking about at the devestation she looked herself over and found that her wounds were almost completely healed. Then she caught the scent of battle. She smiled and changed into her humaniod demon form. Astarte spread her wings and took ot the sky flying over the destruction until she came ot the ruins of the plant. there bellow her was Austin, the Infinity child a stranger and... an Ikthul. She smiled an started to generate blakc lightning betwen her hands she decended behind the Ikthul and cast the boltelectracuting the beast and attacking its attenchion. "Good Idea stranger. Send them off to Inky I wanna play with hte Ikthul...."
Astarte chsnged again taking on her blade spined jackle and snarled challanging the Ikthul with roars and snarls of her own.
"Fun... Rip, bite, kill!" she snarled and spat kickingup dirt and circling the Ikthul.

As it was, Creep and Astarte got close. And Ithkul died. The hordes of monsters met power and magic, ripped apart by demon adversaries. And it seemed as if, gods danced. If dark gods.
Flicking his hand, bolts of lightning shot an Ithkul. And Creep spun, daggers of energy slashing another open, legs roundhousing yet another in a devastating combo of just how fluid the mysterious fighter was.

As the Ithkul moved forward, more and more of them appearing from the ruined recycling center, Astarte and the newcomer faced them off. But if they had looked behind them, they would have noticed something. The Infinity Child was gone.
"FLEE! FLEE! HE COMES, HE COMES!"
Even if they weren't listening for it, the voice insinuated itself into the awarenesses of Austin, Astarte, and Creep. It was the Infinity Child, perched high up on a nearby building, shouting with its mind and with its mouth.
"You will all perish! He comes! The Alpha! The Alpha is your Omega! Flee, before he comes!"
How the Infinity Child had gotten up there, and why it was so frightened, was beyond the others. Maybe Austin might have felt it, but it was not something any of them had ever faced before. The Infinity Child stared at the recycling center, its yellow eyes wide, its mouth agape.
More and more Ithkul were coming from the burst building. There must have been at least 20 by now. Why Astrox would store so many in one place was unheard of. And the Child could sense at least another 10 more pushing their way through the rubble, and headed, like the rest, towards Asid Row. But there was something else. With its psychic powers, the Infinity Child could feel something pushing its way through the wreckage like a shark moving through a wave. Something huge, something powerful...something deadly. The other Ithkul felt like children compared to THIS Ithkul, this Alpha. It was unlike anything ever seen before....
The Infinity Child could not take the pressure of the oncoming creature. An Infinity Child had a link to Nature, to the Earth and all of Her glory. Ithkul were not of Nature. Created by Astrox, the Ithkul were a failed form of a superweapon Astrox had been designing to destroy their enemies. Parasitic units, they bonded with their host bodies, destroying the host mind and wreaking havoc on their physical form, until finally the thing turned into an Ithkul...a pure predator. Known to hunt in packs, the Ithkul had been a scourge on the world for years, until a short time ago, when they were wiped from the planet by Astrox. Or so everyone had thought. Obviously, there were some still left, their glittering carapaces and scythe-like claws combined with their purely hunter-stalker mind making them disasterously dangerous. But there was a type of Ithkul, a leader among Ithkul, that would lead a pack of hundreds of the ravenous beasts on hunts and was older and stronger than any other in the pack. This one was called the Alpha Ithkul. And the Alpha coming towards the others was stronger than almost any that had ever come before it.
The Infinity Child was panicked. It did not know what to do. It could not fight....Infinity Children could not fight. But it could not run. To run would only leave these horrible creatures to ruin the world once again with their awesome might. No, the Infinity Child had to do something.... Or did it? Astarte and this newcomer, this Creep...they were prepared to fight. Maybe....
The two of them, along with Austin still on the ground, felt a rush of energy in their system like never before. Imbued with more power, their hits were harder, their endurance longer-lasting, their hearts more courageous. They were being boosted, mentally and physically. How this work, none of them knew. But it was the Infinity Child's doing. They could feel that. It was...helping.

The Alpha Ithkul roared. Flames licked against its body, searing at the fleshy membranes covering its joints, fragments of metal and glass had dug themselves into it as it had burrowed upward through the destroyed facility. It had been trapped for ages, it could sense the life, the food, outside of its clear prison, yet its limbs never responded. It had stared at the prey humans before it, yet could never sate its hunger. Things had dug into its flesh, pumping it full of chemicals, halting all movement and surpressing its supernatural powers, leaving it chained, suspended, in a thick liquid. Quite immobile and powerless, yet quite aware of its situation. It roared again, louder this time, rearing its head back as its arm ran over its body, ripping the large needles and things stuck into its body. It sent its entire body into a brief spasm, expelling the smaller shards of glass and metal fragments from its body. Ignoring the searing agony, it instead surveyed the area, its long tongue dangling from its mouth, sensing the sweet pheromones of the prey humans, and other things. Different things. There were Ithkul too. With a triumphant shriek, it staggered over to a large girder, thick, almost 9 feet long and ripped it from the ground, waving it above its head like a club and calling to its brood. As it stood, its muscles began to regenerate from years of atrophy, its armour plates, slightly sunken, began to bulge outward once again. It cast its eyes across the rubble, feeling its psychic powers beginning to return as its body broke down the drugs, it began using its telekinesis to move the combusting material away from itself, throwing it skyward to rain down on the rest of the 16th District.

Salra felt herself tense, she could flee though sooner or later she would have to face the Ithkul. Might as well face them with people to help you, while Salra had trust issues with others, this was an enemy should would ahve difficulty fighting alone. Leaping off the roof she opened her wings, swooping to the gathering Ithkul. Swooping down she began slapping the Ithkul with her tail, knocking them down on their backs. The advance was slowed down a bit, then she landed amongst the group, "I simply help, do not fear me." Salra knew she was still covered in blood at this point but she never thought too much of it, as long as the others didn't attack her.

After taking a few steps towards Asid Row the Alpha Ithkul stopped, looking down at the rubble at its feet. It cocked its head sideways, before lowering one of its left arms to lift a large chunk of ferrorcrete away. A strange clacking sound escaped its throat, before it pulled something from beneath the rubble, the vague shape of a humanoid, massive bulky shoulders, its rusted armour charred from the flames, the robot from Asid Row earlier. It dangled the robot before its eyes, before shaking it, prodding it, as if trying to goad it into reaction, yet none followed. Growling, the Alpha Ithkul shook the robot violently, before slamming it against the ground, holding the two wires protruding from its back in its arm and swinging it over its shoulder than down to the floor again. Eventually it let the crumpled form come to rest on the floor, before pounding its fists against its chests and throwing any nearby rubble into the air in a tantrum.
"THUD!" A voice escaped from the robot, causing the Alpha Ithkul to end its tantrum and stare once again at the bot. As the Alpha Ithkul reached down to pick up the bot once again its body suddenly animated, its right arm swung round in a wild arc, clutching a large shard of metal that had come to rest near it. The Alpha Ithkul lept backwards, screeching as it clutched its finger, a blue liquid seaping out from the wound. Seizing in the creatures shock, the robot threw itself at the Alpha Ithkuls leg, plunging its two wires into its left knee. The soft membrane tissue was pierced easily by the cold metal, two thin spears ripping through flesh and rupturing the blood vessels. The Alpha Ithkul slumped forward, placing its weight onto its right knee. For a moment its eyes were shocked, confused, as if it hadn't expected the robot to actually hurt it, quickly hardening into a look of absolute fury. The Ithkul remained still, closing its eyes as the wounds slapped shut.
The robot bounded towards Creep and the group on Asid row, moving forward with surprising grace and skill given its apperance. Literally inches away from Creeps face it stopped, its two dimly growing crimson eyes glaring into his. "Kelroth...." It giggled slightly, words distorted by its face apparently permenantly set in a manic grin. "Move!" Without waiting for a response it lept over the group and disappeared into the 16th District.

More Ithkul approached and Salra launched herself at them, savagely attacking with claws, teeth, tail, wing claws, anything. Being a product of Astrox Salra could not hold back any pent up anger as she went through the Ithkul ranks, she suffered scratches and full blows to her body from tentacles but she did not feel the pain. Blood and flesh fragments tore through the air in streams, her claws ripping right down deep into the creatures. She was begginning to find the fun in it.
