Samantha looked across the frozen plain, the furry hood of her jacket pulled tight around her face. A hulking figure behind her stood inside the watch tower, shielded from the icy winds, “There is nothing on my radar.” “You told me never to fully trust technology, trust your eyes.” Sam shuddered. “In a blizzard like this I don’t know how you could see anything.” Sam re-entered the tower looking to her tall, orange armoured friend, “I’m surprised we haven’t heard a cancellation yet, but we really need those shipments, Nixon. We’re running low on ammo, food, gas, basically everything.” Nixons head suddenly perked up. “What is it?” “Aliens on the radar.” Sam looked down into the canyon where the sheltered entrances of the underground city were closed, “everyone will be safe as long as they keep those doors shut.” Nixon and Sam made their way down the watch tower, upon reaching the ground, Nixon received a broken up transmission. “Ali *ccht* attack, we won *ccht* ake it.” The transmission died. “Whats up?” Sam saw him pause. “They were attacked.” She put on her ski goggles to protect from the flecks of icy snow going into her eyes, “Locate co-ordinates, we’ll get the others and fight off them aliens. We need that shipment.” “Approximate arrival time is 10 minutes.” “The aliens?” “Yes. We don’t have much time.” Underground within the city, an announcement went out all over, echoing around the buildings, “Delta 420 teams, report to surface base.” Sam and Nixon waited in a small concrete shelter above the canyon, a grav. lift was used to get anyone up there so Sam expected everyone to show up soon with their Spartan partners. You are a human with a partner who is a Spartan. You two always work together and are responsible for the underground city defences. You and your Spartan partner have military skills beyond anyone, hurry now Sam and Nixon need your help. "Ignore Sam. We are going to do this on our own, Black," a small girl said to a large man, clad in dark armor. He was a Spartan, a notorious one to the alien world. And his companion was known as "Shiva". She was only 12 years old, but already considered an elite in human eyes. She did not pack any heat, but her psychic powers alone made her a devastating hit to aliens. And Black? Well. He is armed. Heavily. His weapons are advanced and his skills are magnificient. Together, Shiva and Black blew holes in alien ranks.
This was their story.
"With all due respect, Mistress, even we could not hold our own against 500 aliens."
"Surely you realize, none of our supposed opponents are capable of lifting a launcher, never mind actually injuring us. These are grunts, nothing more."
"If you say so, Mistress. Your will be done."
"Not like you to conede so easily, Black. What has gotten into you?" The girl's sparkling blue eyes looked at Black, a smile on her fair features.
And Black stared back. "Perhaps you leave me breathless?"
"Hmm," Shiva giggled, simple white gown floating around long, beautiful legs. Her body was sculpted like a goddess, pale skin without so much as a blemish. And it was all property of Black - many Allied Forces suffering a deathblow upon so little as glancing at Shiva in his company. And she loved it, cascading blonde hair blowing in an unforgiving wind, merciless as the icy wasteland of earth. "...perhaps."
Black sighed as he admired her. "What would you have me do, Mistress?"
"Well..." a finger to her lip, thoughtfully, she responded, "...what we need to do is cut off their advance. So, place explosives in coordinates 70,893 x 69,134. The resulting avalanche will be your signal to hit and run. Then, I will flank them, while they are confused and disoriented, utilizing my abilities. Finally, let us show our enemies what we can do by grouping at 65,342 x 39,134, annihilating the last hundred or so with our co-op attack."
Black was left speechless. "Magnificient plan, Mistress! But it leaves you in danger... ...I know, I know, you can take care of yourself, but..."
"Do not worry, my love," she cut him off, levitating up to his visor. She kissed it with a mischevious grin, and nodded. "Let us go, shall we... oh! If Sam and her little buddies come in time, do share, hm?"
"Indeed," Black said in agreement (as if he would disagree). He waited until Shiva vanished, to get to work.

Sukranee wore white armour much like the other elites, though Sukranee was a different from the others, while he was a high commander, he was albino. His armour matched the very snow and his skin was no shade different from the icy element; he was virtually invisible. While the white was very useful against the snow, it was quite a hinderance when in buildings. No matter, Sukranee was a commander, and could deal with virtually any problem, even those spartans. Elites and spartans were evenly matched in strength, speed, they both had armour, they both had shields. It all depended on who thought of what first to get the upper hand. Though that was not on Sukranee's mind, the whole human city was what was on his mind. He savoured the feel of warm human blood upon him, just the thought of battle gave him chills up his spine. Shaking his head he payed attention to the task on hand. His party, which consisted of two hunters, three brutes, and five grunts made their way towards the canyon, hidden using a radar jammer and not to mention many large rocks blocked them from view. The main group lined the otherside, which were mostly grunts but he was no fool. Scouts were all over the place, the dones were great fliers, even in nasty weather such as this, there was no sense risking the Banshees. Which made Sukranee wonder why the human transport was out in the first place. No matter, the transport was downed by their drop ship which currently lay deep within the mountain pass out of danger, within the dropship lay hundreds of backup troops and vehicles. Today was going to be eventful.

"Foolish alien," roared a monster behind Sukranee. "You are not worthy of Commandership. Your men are being slaughtered by a single Spartan! Your pathetic number of 500 has dwindled to a worthless 200 caused by avalanches! Well, alien, why do you not speak?! Has my kind allied with a race of inferior beings? Beings who can not look I, King Raptus, in the eye, can not discuss a plan which actually holds merit?! WELL?!?!"

Sukranee growled, "Raptus, just remember who you are speaking to. To censure me is quite direspectful..." Sukranee had no fear of the king, he was simply a flesh bag who had wound up in their ranks, a pity acceptance from the covenant. Sukranee turned his head calmly, he knew something back was going to happen, thats why it was mainly grunts in that troop of 500 with a few elites to keep their hopes up. "Either you're gonna help, or you will be killed." Sukranee knew what he said was not a threat, it was smply a warning, he then ran towards the avalanche site, his fighters following loyally. Many respected Sukranee, alot still had to get used to Raptus, but there was something there about the strange creatures that kept Sukranee on his toes. There were trust issues.
While Sam and Nixon waited, the whole land shook from a distance explosion. "What the hell?" Sam grabbed her sniper rifle and combat knife. "If that was the covenant, they're too far to attack still." "Oh damn..." Nixon and Sam looked to each other. Nixon could run alot faster than normal humans, all spartans can. Being chemically enhanced and exercising extensivly since the age of six, he found that he had no trouble carrying Sam on his back as they headed towards the battle scene.
Sukranee got onto the communicator, "send in some wraiths to this location." Sukranee gave the co-ordinates and headed towards the battle scene. His plan was to circle around until he spotted a black spartan and small human ahead. He was not worried about being seen, but the others were the common dark colours that stick out like a sore thumb. "You know the drill." The elites, grunts, and brutes all nodded and began making their way around the spartan and human, there was still a good half a kilometre between his party and the duo, the radar jamming device still activated. They were still invisible.
Sam hunkered down high atop the battle. Well she wasn't too far up, the land was a slight incline and she had parked herself on the fresh snow that had fallen down to crush the covenant. She could see some elites crawling out of the snow and alot of the grunts pulling themselves out, the ones who were lucky enough to not be totally trapped. She decided while keeping an eye on Black and Shiva, who had successfully taken upon themselves to start the battle she would keep an eye on the aliens. Sticking together was a rule, planned attack, was a rule. OK so the attack was obviously planned but they went out on their own... what if they got hurt... she shook her head. Peering through the lens she took in the fight. Nixon was making his way towards Black and Shiva, and the advancing enemies had stopped just out of range of the others... why? She decided to start picking off grunts, they were dangerous in huge packs, as they were known to charge head on like the classic human battles hundreds of year before. It was quite fun to snipe grunts, especially if your bullet pierces the methane tank on their backs. They tend to spin like tops and suffocate, knocking others down and created chaos. Or if you shoot them in the chest, they go flying a few feet. Sam smiled to herself, the aliens could not figure out where she was shooting from and so she continued to shoot one grunt at a time.

In our heads
Do it
The alien group was not prepared for such an assault; a sniper bullet powered by immense amounts of psychic energy. The bullet killed a grunt, and, as his body fell, an explosion of energy created a blinding supernova. Shiva was no fool, indeed, and Sam realized this as she watched.

Sukranee shut his eyes hard to return them back to normal. His small troop scattered, running away from the attack. When his vision returned he could see he was anly accompanied by the two hunters while the others had taken cover behind larger rocks. This angered him, though he was in more danger than they. Just as he was ready to order them to come out and attack, a speck appeared over the horizon. Perfect. Sukranee looked to the hunters who were itching to get to the two humans. "Go." These hunters would die proud. He didn't want to send them but he had to. The hunters would at least keep the two humans busy, their heavily amroured bodies were impenetrable and the heavy fuel rod cannon attatched to their right arm can make short work of anything. He ordered the two elites to head back where the wratihs would be dropped off, Sukranee just hoped the elite commander on the other side of the canyon was ok.
Sam was having her usual fun sniping out the stragglers, but she was starting to find alot of them climbing out beneith the snow. Too many. Grunts were digging others out while others trying to find her position. They were getting close. It was then she saw two hunters running full tilt towards Black and Shiva, "shit," she began looking for Nixon and became worried when she couldn't spot him. "Nixon..." A lot started happening all at once, the Hunters, Nixon, covenant army, and now a new shipment was coming in. Two large machines were dropped. "Uh oh... wraiths..."

"WHOOOO HOOOO! ROUND THEM THE FUCK UP, GOOD BUDDY! YEEEE HAWW!"
A sudden roaring from behind Sam filled her ears. The roaring increased, and she ducked, just barely in time, as a full Warthog slammed onto a small hill, bucked into the air, and sailed over her head. She could hear the whooping and hollering from the driver's seat as the Warthog slammed into the ground, the crunching audible and definitely not good for the Warthog, and drove down into the masses. A Spartan stood up in the rear at the turret, and fired round after continuous round into the Covenant ranks.
"We'll take care of these sons of bitches in the Wraiths!" Everyone could hear the yell, but it was coming through on the com headsets too. "Ya'll can take care of the little 'uns!"
Cooper was by far the loudest, crudest, unruliest, strangest soldier to serve in the unit. By far. Along with Cynthia, his unspeaking Spartan partner, they made a team that was quite unlike any other. Cindy was a definite Spartan, strong, capable of using anything like a deadly weapon, and unerringly accurate. And Cooper...well, he was a damn good driver, and amazing with a shotgun. And of course, his tongue never stopped. He was even known to talk in his sleep.... Everyone considered him an annoying, if mildly amusing, soldier, and everyone respected Cindy. It was quite a match for those two.
"YEEEE HAW! I'll round 'em up, Cindy, you blast their brains out! WOOOOO!"
Cooper drove in a circle, a very wide and certain circle, around the dropped enemy Wraiths. The heavy tanks were disconcerted, as they couldn't hit the fast-moving Warthog, but it could hit them. Peppered with unending bullet spray, the Wraiths wouldn't last long under this kind of attack. And any grunts that got in the way were merely speedbumps to the flailing Warthog with Cooper at the wheel. Only thing that could stop them now was a well-placed Wraith shot or a Convenant grenade launcher...or an Elite jumping in and shoving Cindy out. Cooper's job was to make sure none of that happened.
"Shoot 'em up, cowgirl! We've almost got them bastards cooked and carved, by damn!"

Sam grunted at Coopers whooping voice. While she did get annoyed by him, she did appreciated, and respected his skills and determination, much like Shiva. The Spartans by far are the life savers, Sam knew while without them they could hold off a little, but not take on a whole covenant army. The spartans were their life.
Nixon was heading towards Shiva and Black, but he spotted something quite strange. There were footprints in the snow being made, but there didn't seem to be a figure there. Perhaps camo? No, thats not it, the air was not warped. He decided to investigate, using the rocks as cover he realized the owner was not in technological camo, he was naturally white. An albino elite? Nixon burst out of cover and attacked the elite. Growls were issued forth as the elite recovered from a hard blow to its head by the fist of Nixon. Hardly phased him... normally that punch would have knocked the elite right out, especially from the back of the head, but this elite, he must have had special armour. He must be important... Nixon began thinking, they could use this elite for a tactical advantage.

"Well, then..." Shiva said with a smile, "...it seems you boys and girls can handle the Covenant here. Me and Black will secure the cargo. Good luck." The group heard those words, because she did not speak them, but put them in the minds of her comrades. Black looked at her from killing the Hunters and nodded. And they were off.
They reached the location of the cargo soon enough, but there were no Covenant forces. "This does not feel right..." "How right you are, dear!" "Mistress!"
*Crash*
The girl coughed as she was now on the ground, body of Black covering her. "Ho ho ho! I thank the Elite for sending me some fun!" The huge form walked closer to the pair, they now standing. Shiva brushed herself off, staring at the enemy that did not look Covenant, but definately hostile. "Who are you?"
The form roared, angry. "How dare you not recognize the face of royalty, girl! No matter. I, King Raptus, shall destroy you, in the name of the Covenant!" Electricity crackled over his body, flame flickering from the many blue holes on his person. Who was this mysterious enemy and what was he capable of?
Be on guard, Mistress.
Indeed...

Sukranee found his wrists tightly held by the one of orange. What kind of fighting was this? It seemed the human wasn't interested in killing Sukranee, well whatever he planned, Sukranee wasn't prepared to let this human get the best of him. With a roar he grabbed the humans arms and pulled it towards him, slamming their heads together.
Nixon noticed the Elites energy shield drop completely after the head blow, but his was down three fourths the way. That was a dangerous spot for it to be in, especially when dealing with an Elite. Jutting out his leg he tripped up the alien, letting go of it's wrists. Nixon's plan was to knock out this alien and take it back to base, from there they could use him to their advantage. Mainly interrogate the alien. While he planned this in his mind, he did not plan the alien to react so quickly, there was a white blur and in his defense Nixon lashed out with his fist. It must have been lucky, but with the Elites downed shields and velocity, the strike was able to knock it out. That was easy. Nixon nudged the elite and it didn't move, radioing the city he requested a warthog. He wasn't about to leave battle. He left the unconcious Elite behind a rock away from the battle, he could remember exactly where it was so he wasn't too worried about losing it.
Sam had her own problems, while Shiva and Black had left this battle, Cooper and Cynthia proceeded to make mince outta the aliens. Which that wasn't really a problem for her, her problem was the aliens were now firing at her too and she simply had only snow for cover. "Nixon I need backup!" "On my way." Not that Sam was really counting but she was holding her breath alot, the snow was melting around her and soon the aliens would find her exact location and fry her, but apart from that she clocked him at five minutes. Of course with his augumented body that had been through intense physical training since the age of six, coupled with the armour, the spartans could run at bursts of speed up to 55 kmph, which Sam herself could not believe; but it was true when she saw it. With his shields recharged he used his armoured body to cover her where she propped the sniper rifle just beside him. Suddenly the firefight seemed to get hotter. "Look Nixon! Only two hundred more to go!" "I would lob a grenade down there but I don't want to hit Coop or Cynthia." "Don't worry we don't need explosives, I wonder how Shiva and Black are doing... I hope they're ok."

At that moment, Black was unconcious and Shiva was focussing all of her psychic energy into a shield, against King Raptus' lethal attacks. She sent an urgent message out, hoping one of her partners would get it. The message was broken but got her point across.
Help... cargo... enemy units... Spartan down... I repeat... caution......

Shots were fired and energy bolts sizzled as the Warthog flew around and around, still firing a steady stream of bullets at the powerful Wraiths that had landed not long ago. One went up in a blaze of blue fire as the damage grew too much, and Cooper whooped with delight.
"Woooo weee, girlie! Keep it going, keep it going! We've got this thing down!"
Cindy made no response as the Warthog focused on its last remaining target. Cooper was driving perfectly, as usual, his long curves and fast accelerations completely random, to keep off the enemy fire. But they were still getting hit pretty hard, and the Warthog was starting to drift. Damn. A tire partially deflated. Cooper kept it under control, his hands steady, as he suddenly heard a flare from next to him. The second Wraith went up in smoke and fire, blazing brightly.
"WEEEEE HAWW! We got 'em, baby, we....!" That was when the rocket struck.
It was a perfect shot. Dead on. The Warthog took the hit, and literally flipped into the air, spinning end over end as the heavy vehicle came crashing down into the earth. Nothing moved for a long moment, the Warthog upside-down, the grunts not sure whether to come close or stay back. After a moment or so, one or two of the more courageous little aliens stepped forward, guns pointed, heading for the vehicle.
They were mowed down by the burst of SMG fire coming from the rear of the vehicle.
Suddenly, the entire thing tipped, as if it had been pushed by some giant hand, and two forms rolled out from under it. Quickly, Cindy jumped to her feet, and dragged Cooper up with her. He was unconscious, and bleeding badly from the left temple. With her free hand, she slung him over her shoulder like a sack of wheat, and began firing her weapon. The SMG spit bursts of bullets and little tongues of flame as Cindy began to sprint, heading for the hill where Samantha and Nixon lay, holding off the grunts on their own. She needed to keep Cooper safe, and she needed backup. Fast.
