Gwynne stuck her head out of the car.
"Come on its just a little looksee...." she saw the look on Dom's face however and sighedclimbing out of the car and trudging back over ot where the group was clustered. "Thats no fun... and just what are we gonig to attack? theres nothing out there." Gwynne scuffed her bootson the ground and waited for an answer. She really wanted to go in for a closer look, not get too close just close enough to see things mroe clearly.

"Hell yeah! But can I pass on the stupidity? You know I love my bike, man," said Heart walking back up to the front. "Y'know, guys," he began, "You ain't gonna find a city down there. And if it did really dissapear, would you risk dissapearing, too? Shit, this whole fucking place could be some kind of extradimensional portal!" The seriousness of his explanation was comical, but in the back of his mind, he thought that was possible. "But back to reality, brudda, all of us are accounted for. I don't know what the others are doin', but I'm not about to drag them out 'ere."

"Jesus, Dom, it was just a suggestion. I was gonna drive around, to the other bridge, and head in to see what we could find. IF we could find anything. I don't see YOU suggesting anything logical. What DO you suggest? We start pulling out our gats and bust a motherfuckin cap in someone's ass?"
He knew he was being kinda sarcastic, but hey, if Dom wanted to play that way, Graham could play.
"Because Dom, we don't have gats, we don't have caps, and we don't even have anyone to shoot. We need to figure out what the hell is going on. I understand that we'll probably head back the way we came and see what we can learn. I understand that. But what will we tell people? "We couldn't see our town"? They'll say we got lost. "But we didn't get lost!" And then they'll say "What town?" and we won't even be able to say the name of .... Of .... See? There is something seriously wrong when we can't even say the NAME of the place! Personally, I'd be happy to risk myself in a little reconnaissance if it could possibly help us out. And I never planned on leaving without consulting the rest of you guys....We're in this together, damn it! So why don't we both calm down, because I know that my heart rate right now is just about to hit Mach One, and we talk about this rationally?"
He felt kinda bad about flipping out on Dom, but he didn't like being talked down to like he was a little kid. Especially considering he was one of the older ones here. Sarcasm was all well and good, but when you were faced with the fact that your town had mysteriously vanished, it was NOT the time for sarcasm.

Skye stood up, "I like the cellphone idea, lets call people like 911 or something. Anyone have family outside of the city?" She twiddled her fingers, there was no need for fighting.

Gwynne who had been looknig ta Matt's bike with mild intrest came back over tossing his key in her hand up and down like a ball, knowing Matt woudl be irritated hwen he found her yet again playing iwth somethnig that belonged to him. It was a game ot her she'd nick somethnig of his and play with it till he noticed then refuse ot give it back until he got frustraited enough to snatch it back rather then just ask. It was a habit of hers one which she found alot of fun in.
"I hate to say it Skye but who would fuucknig believe us. I can just see it now, we dial up 911 and go 'Ahhh.... excuse me miss operator person but I have to report a missing town. It's name? I can't remember hell i han't even say it.'" she gave Skye a flat look. "Doesn't thta sound just a little on the wild side to you?" she flicked matt's bike key inot the air again and then stuffed it into the shirt pocket under her vest. 'So... do we have a plan C?"

"Forget 911, but you're still missing my point," she snorted, "if anyone has family out of town they can contact, we can find out if they are still, ya know alive, or if it was only our city."

"Listen, first of all, we need to calm the fuck down," Heart ran a gloved hand through his hair - a habit taken from Domonic, "and use our heads. Secondly, we want any kind of attention we can get. If we lie to 911 so atleast a car comes out to investigate, cops should know where we are. And as you see, a city is not[/b] here."[/color]
He sighed.
"But, as we Americans know, dealing with our government is a pain in our ass. And for all we know, this could very well be an experiment concocted by a legal group underground."
...
"So, what do we do? We put on a united front. And we find out what the fuck is happening, by listening to the bright idea this loser has," and with that, he gestured to Domonic with a smirk.

Gwynne shrugged and twirled her small plait around one finger tugging at it somemore. It was a nervous habit of hers and she did it often when agitated, uneasy or worried. "I'll go with whatever you guys decide i'm not much of a plan maker so i'll just keep quiet..."

Heart laughed and pointed at Gwynne, "And don't you THINK I don't know what you did, young lady." He shrugged and winked. "You coulda just asked, y'know? It would be my pleasure to ride you..." he gasped in mock surprise, "...oh dear, did I really just say that?! I meant, give you a ride. The pleasure would be all mine!"

Gwynne rolled her eyes and then smiled linking her arm through Maatts and tugging him off to the side slightly though she didnt lower her voice and allowed all the othersto still hear her. "Matt, sweety, you know how I love it when you talk dirty, but please no talknig shop infront of the others it might give htem ideas. You now how they are at this age, so very impresionable." She then smiled rather wickedly and added. "Oh and Matt, just because I've slept with you the last...." She stoped to count on fingers. "Eight times doesn't mean there will be a nineth"

Pathetic. Immature. The whole scene around Avery was unfolding in a way she would have thought impossible. Why isn't anyone taking this seriously? she thought. She looked at the others, and saw she was the only one showing any emotion at all. With a clenched jaw, she stopped her shakes, and took a deep breath. "We need to do something. And I suggest getting police, or some sort of authority involved." She spoke, projecting her voice. "I say we stick together." She added, looking at Graham with a smile. He knew she didn't mean what she said to undermine him.
Avery turned and retrieved her purple zip hoodie from the back of Doms car, where she had been sleeping, zipping it up half way and shoving her hands into the pockets. She hopped onto the trunk, sitting with her feet on the bumper, head turned to face her friends. "Whatever we do, lets do it fast.. Before lover boy and Gwynnie start dry humping eachother." Avery raised an eyebrow, the normality of the phrase she spoke easing her mind a little bit. Ah, so thats why they are acting like they are.. they just don't want to think about it... "My entire family lived... there..." Avery said, clearing her throat, telling herself they would be okay, that everything would be fine. "Anyone else?"

"I vote no authorities. Personally, I don't want to be locked up for being crazy, talking about a missing town and reporting a false emergency to 911. That's not gonna be good for any of us. PLUS they're gonna give us all drug tests, thinking that we're high, because we're a bunch of kids claiming their TOWN disappeared. I honestly don't think it's a good idea. But wait....I've got an idea...."
Quickly, he ran back to his Explorer, and dove into the backseat. Rummaging, the others could hear him murmuring to himself, his voice getting louder and softer as he sifted through the stuff on the floor and in the back pockets.
"Now where did I....Ohh...Looks like I...Hmmm..Fuck, where the... And why the fuck is this in here?!?! Oh, here it is."
Jumping out of the truck again, he turned back to the group. In his hands was an atlas, one of the good ones, for the area.
"My parents gave it to me for my first car ever, and it's lasted this long. Now..."
Quickly, he began flipping through pages. "We're on Kingston Street, right? I mean, everybody saw the sign as we were coming in?"
He flipped through pages, running his finger over roads and parks and cities, until finally he found it. "AHhh! Got it! Kingston. Now, we picked it up by 314...." As he spoke he pushed his finger along the map, "Went about three miles, passed Oriole, I remember that.... Past the junction at 211, I remember that.... And then we should be...right......"
His finger stopped.
"Holy shit, guys. Look at this."
The others came closer, and he frowned down at the page. His finger touched the spot where they were.... And next to his finger, where their hometown was supposed to be...was nothing but an empty space. There were roads going around it, even a small river running through it. But there was no city there.
"Jesus Christ." Graham sounded scared, and his mouth was dry as a bone. "I mean... Jesus Christ... It's not even on the map anymore. Like...like it was simply....plucked off the face of the Earth AND THEN wiped out of everyone's memory! I mean, it was a big place, wasn't it? Or was it a small place? Damn it, I can't remember...but it was a place! It was on this map! But now....there's nothing here! Nothing but cow fields and trees. And a fucking river. Holy shit guys..."
Swiftly, he closed the book, then spoke to the rest of them in his calmest voice.
"There is something seriously wrong here. We're not undergoing mass hysteria, and we're not high on LSD. There is something wrong when not only the town, but the NAME of the town, our MEMORIES of the town, even the MAP of the town, is completely gone. Maybe in a few more minutes we won't even remember there was a town there at all..... We can't get the authorities in on this. They're gonna think we're all nuts. I think we're gonna have to figure this out for ourselves, guys. There's...nothing else we CAN do."

"Alright, close enough, listen up people, and don't make me throw you and Gwynne into that river to hose you down, Matt, although I wouldn't mind seeing her all wet and having to change..." he laughed at the two, giving a wink to Gwynne before taking to the middle of the group and moving on. "OK people... We've got an entire place gone AWOL, along with everything in it. Not even the name of our home exists in our very minds..." Domonic put crossed his arms, putting an open fist to his chin and began pacing, "...I'd wager that if we call the cops, they'll get miffed at us makin up a town and wasting their time... ...I know my family was in there - the only part that matters, really, and a good part of my friends, not to mention informants, suppliers and other lackeys... We've all lost everything we don't have with us, apparently, thank God I brought my games with me... So, I figure we have clothes, some food, a small amount of money, some towels and the like, a few cars, and that's it. So..." He stopped a minute, gaze to the ground in thoiught. "So... It looks like... We hit the next closest city and get a place to stay as cheap as possible and not say anything about this, because what if it's been completely erased from the memory of everyone else, like Graham said...? Then we're nuts and probably gonna get in more trouble than we already have... Looks like the road trip ain't over, folks, and the real ride's just beginning."
"Now, I agree that we do need to get a better look at what's going on here, but I don't think going into ground zero is a good idea. I think we'd better get a place to rest set up, and then scout around with subtlety. Heh... I wish Eric wasn't in there, for once, because his occultness might now what the hell happened. Ah well, so much for him. We go about this organized, and no infighting. You got a problem; we take it up as a democracy. So, Mr. Atlas, where to, exactly...?" With that, he turned the floor back over to the others.

Gwynne stuck her tongue out at Domonic then smiled wickedly. "Matt and I could have alotta fun in that river if you did throw us in." she put on a show of na innocent face andthen pushed her violet glases up and looked to Graham. "That's absa-fucka-lutely weird... never heared of something liek this happening. Read about it in dfictional books but never actualy believed it could happen..." She shook her head and stared thoughtfuly at the ground. "The town can't have just vannished completely out of existance it has to have gone somewhere the problem is...where?"

"Nimbel," Matt spoke up, and, upon seeing their reactions, laughed. "No no, not where our city is... where my family is. Well, some of my family, anyway. We can gather information, see if my brother and his daughter know anything, stock up on supplies, stay for free," he winked at Gwynne, "And you know, since I remembered the name, it must not be gone! So, what do you guys think? It's not far at all... if a bit unknown."
