"Aww," cooed Matt, "I will be happy to warm your titties when we get there, honey. And, not far off now." He revved up to 80mph at that.

(OOC: And a wee little entry from me, yah?)
Ebony groaned restlessly, scrunching herself up tighter for warmth and comfort on the old but comfortable seats of the van. She had been sleeping through a majority of the trip but what were a few more hours? The thought crossed her mind in her dreaming, almost conscious state, the music from her MP3 further serenading the sleeping young woman. The stream of music from Eby's MP3 was soon disrupted by the slap of her headphones to her ears, the young nineteen year old almost jumping out of her seat from the shock. “….wha..?” She closed her eyes tighter, not wishing to get out of the slumber she’d fallen into. To push the fact she didn’t want to be disturbed further, she swung her hoodie over her head. In the process, Eby covered a mass of scintillating grey hair almost bordering on argentine, the gently crinkled strands falling out of her messy bun and covering her face.
Again, her headphones were slapped against her ears, the Gorillaz and the sound of “Feel Good Inc.” brought closer than she preferred to her head. Eby exhaled heavily, switching onto her back as her annoyance began to build. She cracked her neck, eventually opening a pair of sparkling azure eyes and settling them on the boy leaning over her. Eby arched a brow, catching Dom’s wrist in the process of bothering her again. “Do you like to fuck with me to get a reaction or do you….” She trailed off, drifting into a mischievous smile. “…heh, nevermind.”
Might as well get up off your ass, Eby. Scratching her scalp, Eby moved into an upright position, the fatigue in her eyes slowly being replaced for curiosity. She leaned over the seat to in front of her and rested her arms on the chair. Narrowing her eyes, she blinked bewildered. “Dom…weren’t you driving last time? Aren’t we supposed to be in…?” Eby turned her gaze aside, a feeling of anxiety starting to settle in. She wasn’t sure herself where they were suppose to be, where they were heading; the name of her home. The fuck…? Eby shook away her confusion momentarily, tilting her head. She leaned back and inquired slowly. “Aren’t we suppose to be…umm…there by now?”

"Yeah, about that... You're not gonna believe this if I tell ya, so I may as well show ya... Come on..." He Dom hopped back out of the van (more like fell onto his feet, his height making that more trouble than he thought it was worth) and held out his hand to Ebony, taking care to stay close behind her on the off chance she didn't take it well...

Ebony frowned in her bewilderment, hesitating before finally taking Dom’s hand. She allowed him to help her out the van, ducking her head to avoid hitting the ceiling as she occasionally tended to do. Immediately greeted by the light of outside, Eby twitched rather than complain and shook off her hoodie.
Holding Dom’s hand loosely, she walked after him towards…she still couldn’t recall the name. Eby shrugged off her lack of remembrance, figuring she was still in a daze from the 14+ hours of sleep. Following Dom to their town, she found herself to be greeted with…nothing. Absolutely nothing. No roads, no houses, no gas stations, skyscrapers in the distance, trees, signs of civilizations, the annoying ten year old that rode past on his bicycle, the chipper summer tune of the ice cream man’s truck…nothing.
Eby’s fingertips fell from Dom’s, her wide eyed gaze on the vast nothingness in the distance, the wild blue yonder over where her hometown used to exist. She couldn’t feel her heartbeat, couldn’t hear any words of comfort; couldn’t even breathe. “My…” Eby couldn’t even speak at the time, the idea that her family and…well, she had little friends to begin with. But the idea of her family disappearing off the map, bits of her former life disappearing from the world was almost more than she could take.
Her eyelids fluttered and Eby’s vision dimmed as the darkness threatened to claim her. She wanted to faint, to escape from the reality she’d awoken to. No…no, calm, calm yourself. Grabbing her forehead, she closed her eyes, stumbling back into Dom. Her legs nearly gave up on her but she pinched herself, determined not to play the role of the innocent waif.
Exhaling, Eby lost herself for a minute. “GAHHHHH!!!!!!” Her frustration let out somewhat, she sighed, leaning back against Dom. She blinked up to him, muttering tiredly. “Well fuck me backwards…I take it some kind of plan was made whilst I was in la la land?” Eby gulped, her eyes returning to the emptiness that was…what in hell was it??? She bit her lip, mumbling to herself. “…the hell is going on?”

He put his arms around her and have her a reassuring squeeze, "...Feel better now...? We're goin to Matt's brother's place in Nimbel - that's about all the plan we've got. And as for what happened - your guess is as good as mine." He held her for a moment before going on, "We should really get going... ...but I thought you should know. I told you you wouldn't believe it unless you saw it..." Acknowledging her want to stay under her own power but percieving her wavering, he took her in his arms and walked back to the van.

The others piled into vehicles, after the sleeping Ebony awoke and saw what all the commotion was about. Matt lead the way, and Avery followed. It was a very stressful journey for Avery. Not only was Matt going at ridiculous speeds, speeds which the car she was in barely reached, she felt the starts of a headache coming on, and she had no asprin on hand. Greatfully, it was over before she went insane, and she saw Matt and Gwynne pull up to a house. Avery parked on the street, near a neighboring house. She watched the others park and file out of the cars, sighing, and finally exiting hers. She told them she was going to stay outside for a while, to clear her head. Avery went around, and took a seat on the trunk of the car, leaning back on her elbows. She shed the zip up hoodie she was in, leaving her in her tank once more. Lifting her head to the sun, she closed her eyes, letting her mind wander. How can an entire city just be gone? How come no one was doing anything about it? The government MUST have known! What if the government is behind it? What happened to my family? So many questions, none with answers.

Nicholas 'Ace' Jekyll, a young man who loved the bliss that was serenity. He spent most of his time simply laying about, listning to melodic tunes and looking at the simple blue of the sky on a nice day. Such was the case when the multitude of vehicals came rolling up the street. The sight of a caravan seemed slightly strange to Nick, so he rose from his resting place and danced over to the door, peeking out the door's window.
So many people, all flooding in to the neighborhood all at once, and all going into one building. This all struck Nick as very out of palce. Especially sicne the man whose house all thsoe people were filing in to never got so many visitors... at once. So, he stuck his spikey head out of the door to his house, and then stepped on to his deck, watching the people file out of their cars. Everybody but one. One girl simply stayed behind., laying around.
Curious, Nick walked up to the girl and knocked on her car as if on a door, greeting her with a smile. "Hello there! Did you come with all those people that're all going in to my buddy's house? 'Cause if you did, I'd be interested to know the reason that you've all come here so suddenly. The name's Nicholas Jekyll; but most people around here call me 'Ace.' Nice to meet ya."

Avery jerked at the sound of knuckles rasping on metal, she was so wrapped up in her own thoughts that she didn't hear the man approaching. He introduced himself with such a cheerful, laid back attitude, that Avery actually found herself smiling. "Uh, hi. I'm Avery. And yeah, unfortunately, I am with them." She nodded towards the house where most of the rest of her group had gone inside. She tucked some loose strands of her jet black hair behind her ear, and sat up, looking the kid over. He seemed fine enough, but she wasn't sure if Dom would approve of her telling a stranger what happened.
"Uh, alot on my mind.. so I chose to stay outside." She said, telling a half-truth. "We had nowhere to go, so we came here to see... uh... Matt's brother..." She said, realizing she did not know the name of the person who lived there. "You know him?" She asked, referring to the occupant of that house. She moved over, giving the guy some room, in case he wanted to sit, and rubbed her temples. "Ah, got a monster of a headache." She groaned, closing her eyes, "And they're quite an obnoxious group, you know? So I opted to take my chances out here."

Nick smiled, leaning on the car but not sitting on it; not wanting to be too much of an intrustion. "Well you picked a good place to take chances. Not only is this area usually a nice calm place, but I'm here. Nothing bad ever happands to other people while I'm around." He smiled again, making as easy conversation as he could. So far he liked the girl. She was nice enough, and had a sence of humor, too.
"Oh, say, why don't you wait right here for jsut a second?" Without another word, Nick went running back in to his house as fast as he could, returning within the minute with a small bottle of asprin and a glass of water. "You said you had a headache, so I gotcha something to help with it. You can have the bottle, and the water inside the cup; though i'm afraid that once the water's no longer in the cup i'm gonna need it back." he handed her to water and a coupple of asprin with a smile and a small laugh at what was intended to be a mildly funny joke, meant to create a feeling of comphort.
The day was a nice one. The sky was blue, but with a few white clouds floating around to create a nice contrast. The streets were lined with green trees, and everything was going well; no reason for something as mild as a headache to ruin the peace that was floating through the air around Nimble; at least the peace that Nicholas felt around Nimble.

Nimbel was a little place just off a road little knew about; it was a place where everybody knew everybody else. And it was magnificient, lots of country, no extravagance on buildings. That being said, people lived in expensive homes here. And Matt's brother was no exception, a renown architect pulling in millions each year. Why his (missing) family lived in a hole was a different matter entirely.
The gang was inside a house, staring at a creepy looking man. He said, "Dude," and hugged Matt, who hugged back. "Nice seein' ya, man. How long has it been?" The man let go and mumbled. "Years, dude, just years. I'm sorry...oh?" He looked behind Matt and shut up. "Forget it. Doug, meet my friends. Friends, meet my brother, Doug."

Gwynne nodded and raised one hand in a kind of wave, "Hi I'm Gwynne." she looked aboutthe house agan for the upteenth time with both eyebrows raised in surprise. It was a very nice house even if the guy who owned it was a little creepy to look at. She wouldn't say anything about the guy however as he was family to Matt, that would just be rude.

During the ride to Nimbel, Ebony kept her sapphire gaze outside the window, watching as the van sped past tress, nature, wildlife; the world apparently oblivious to the disappearance of her city...the nameless ghost town in her mind. I don't understand...where could it have.... Trailing off, perturbed to think about too heavily on it, Ebony leaned on the closest shoulder, resting her head casually against Dom. Earlier, she had jabbed him lightly in the arm for carrying her though it wasn't like she'd minded. Her cheeks flushed briefly at a thought, Eby urging the contemplation away as she skimmed through the music in her MP3, in desperate need of her calming song. Speaking so that she could hear her voice over NIN singer Trent Reznor, Eby spoke to Dom. "What....what do you think happened to it? Our hometown? Our families...?" Pausing in her effort to find 'Inertia Creeps', she looked up to Dom from a startling pair of cerulean blue. She smiled weakly. "Maybe we're all insane...?"
Domonic smirked and ruffled her hair slightly, "I've been told I'm insane already, and the place was still there. I don't think that's it, Eby... Wish I did have a damn clue, though." He rested his chin on her head, privately taking some amount of comfort in feeling her presence. He had always liked Ebony; her personality both interested and amused Domonic. "...I just don't know, Eby. Somebody said it could be a government plot, somebody else said it could be high-fantasy becoming reality. I'm not much for conspiracy theory, and the latter seems absurd... ...How bout you? What do you think about this mess?"
Ebony closed her eyes, enjoying the light feel of Dom resting on her head. She gently pressed herself closer to him, annoyed at the nervousness gained from the move. Eby shrugged off her emotions for her friend and leader to the rest of the motley group. A sighed escaped her shortly after as she mulled over a possible hypothesis for the absence of...it. "...I think, maybe..." Ebony shifted out of the comfortable position to look Dom in the eye, holding out her hands as an implausible reason [but the only one she could come up] came to mind. "Maybe while we were away something...sinister occurred in our town. Well, not bad guy nuked it but the people in our town did something despicable and this higher entity, this unknown power judged the good and the bad in our town as guilty, damning them to..." Ebony stopped herself, slapping her forehead with a silly smirk. "...next I'll say a rolling fog appeared and claimed the town." She offered Dom a weak smile and with a hint of frustration, she unzipped her hoodie, a black halter top revealed. Growing serious, Ebony put her MP3 on pause, crossing her legs Indian style. She brooded. "...I really...don't know...what to think. All that can be said is SOMETHING is going on...there's too much of a coincidence factor here for it to be a freaky isolated incident." She arched a brow with a sarcastic smile. "...Someone's fucking with us I think...what else can be said...?"
Domonic actually laughed at her remark about the fog, remembering something about Ravenloft, "Yeah, I bet the Dark Powers just came right along and snatched it right up! Afterall, there's no other place more chock full of evildoers..." He grinned as she gave him that 'don't be a smartass' demi-glare and turned away from her a moment, only to end up head and shoulders in her lap. That same look followed him to where he now lay, and another remark came poignantly to mind, "Someone set up us the bomb !!" His smirk widened to a grin as she laughed at him - at least she was laughing, and that was good. He looked up at her for a moment before his smile faded and he stared at the van's roof. "I don't rightly know, Eby. Maybe someone in Nimbel will know something..."
Surprised by Dom falling into her lap, Eby felt her spirits lift significantly despite the mysterious circumstances. Her cheer faded somewhat when Dom's grin slowly vanished as he gained a thoughtful expression, looking beyond her and to the ceiling of the van. Ebony nodded at his words and ran her fingers through his hair, something she'd gained the habit of doing. "Maybe..." She trailed off, not from lack of thought, but rather, the reality of the situation hitting hard, her family coming to mind. Ebony's hand slipped from Dom's head and onto her lip, her expression hidden by the bounty of silver grey hair veiling her face. The young woman murmured, digging her nails into her thigh. "....Haley." Ebony took note of Dom's expression and elaborated in a tone of indifference, completely contrast to the plethora of emotions beginning to well up inside of her. "...you know, my sister. I....this is..." Ebony gulped, losing the casual air she'd gained whilst her music was playing. "Your family, my family, my sister, it's gone, they're gone, everything's gone, Dom, GONE!" Ebony massaged her temples, ignoring the chagrin she normally felt when her eyes began to water and her vision clouded. Fighting the tears back to the best of her ability, grateful the loud music covered up her and Dom's conversation, she balled up her fist. "I don't give a half ass about my father but my sister? I'm one of the only things she can depend on, she's one of the few people in the world who I care for and vice versa, but now...what's left?!" Ebony gulped, knowing comfort wouldn't be able to come in the form of her music.
He scowled for a moment. Family... ...right... But that faded with the thought. Domonic sat up and back against the seat, an arm around the girl pulling her closer to him, "Hey, Eby, honey..." He paused for a moment, partly for lack of words, partly for lack of thought. "Look at it this way, Ebony," a gloved hand took her chin and gently led her gaze to his hazel eyes, "we know that they weren't nuked, bombed, or otherwise destroyed in a traditional fashion. There's no hostage situation, there's no burns, craters, debris... I'm sure that Haley's just fine wherever she and the neighborhood went off to." He risked putting his other arm around her for a reassuring embrace, somewhat uncertain of how she would react, "An hey, you've still got me," he smiled slightly, "and I ain't goin nowhere anytime soon..."
Captivated by his gaze and the soft touch to her skin, Ebony started to nod in agreement. Eby hesitated halfway through the gesture, firmly moving her head in agreement though her thoughts of paranoia whispered otherwise. "....right. But-" A sudden jolt from the van running over a patch in the road brought the pair close, Ebony a mere inches away from Dom, close enough to breathe on his lips. Her impulse kicking in before common sense arrived, Ebony brought their lips together, catching his face and delivering a light kiss to one of the few she could possibly care for besides her own blood. It was only in thinking this did Ebony pull away, somewhat embarrassed over her moment of...weakness. Jumping a foot away from Dom, she found herself nodding, immediately placing her headphones after. "You're right, they're in one piece, everything's fine." She leaned against the window, forcing her attention to outside the window as she nibbled on her bottom lip. Despite her slight mortification over what she'd done, she couldn't help but smile...
He thought nothing of the jolt itself, but Ebony's kiss took Domonic completely by surprise. He was stunned for a moment, but despite its brevity, he caught himself and moved his hand up her shoulder to a rest within her silver locks and held her closer for the moment. She pulled back all too quickly by his taste and stared at him in disbelief for a moment equally as brief before putting a good deal of space between the two of them and looking out the window once again. He slouched slightly, an incredulous look on his face when she spoke again, but did he detect a hint of satisfaction; a smile in her voice? He cocked his head and then leaned back, his gaze again on the upholstery. He went over what had just happened very carefully and decided that her kiss had not been an accident, and smirked when he realized that he was about to do the same thing. He slowly shook his head and sang something in Japanese, his timing catching Ebony between tracks on her MP3, "Nani ga hoshii, nani ga shitai, doko ni ikitai. Yami o saite, hashiri nukete, tsukamitore all through the night..."

Skye exited her truck and was amazed at all the houses, especially Matt's brothers place. When they entered she was even more stunned, when the introductions were taking place, she shyly introduced herself, "I'm Skye." she did a small curtsie.

"Oh my God." Avery blinked in surprise, "You're a lifesaver." She smiled, and took the pills he gave her. It was not a smart move, she knew, but she had examined the pills, and was fairly sure they weren't poisoned or anything. She smiled and popped them into her mouth, taking a small sip of the water. Besides, even if it was contaminated or something.. It doesn't matter.. don't have much to live for now anyways, do I? Avery frowned at the thought, but quickly shook her head, handing Nick the glass. "Wow, I don't know how to thank you." She grinned, running her fingers through her hair, pulling out some snarls at the ends.
Her gaze turned to the boys house, and her eyebrows lifted. She lived in a decent enough apartment, back in.. that town.. But this, this was a site to be seen. "Nice place you got there." She nodded towards his house, "Nimbel is quite the wealthy little town isn't it?" Without another word Avery hopped off the car, bringing her arms over her head and stretching her tired muscles. She realized, suddenly, that half the reason for her headache was that she hadn't eaten all day. "Oh man.. I'm starving. Got anywhere good to eat around here?" She asked, pointing her right foot out and stretching her leg, moving to the left after a few moments. She thought about how odd it must appear to Nick to have a strange girl stretching in front of him after taking his aspirin. She stopped her stretching, a hand moving to her hair again, a nervous habit, twirling it around her finger, waiting for a response. Man, this whole town disappearing act has got me acting loopy..

Nick laughed, taking back the glass once Avery had polished off the water. "Well, if you want I can kill two..." he looked at the glass in his hand, "I guess three birds with one stone. I can put this inside my place, show you a tour and cook ya up almost whatever you want. People 'round here say I'm not too bad at the making of the food. Either that, or you can simply look at my place whilest I dash in to the place to put this in the sink. After I get back there's a fast food place down the street to your left, or a diner down the way behind me. It's really up to you."
Nick was really having a good day, and the thought occured to him. First it was a nice day weather wise, then this great girl comes along. He might even get a good little adventure out of the deal. Or at the very least be able to flex his humor muscle by acting like a cheesy tour guide. The perfect day, far as he was concerned.
Nick had completely forgotten about everyone else that had come with this girl, by that point.
