"Ah," Avery started, closing her eyes and leaning back, "I don't normally go into strangers houses, but today is an abnormal day." She said, opening her eyes again and giving a smile. "Besides, I'm wicked curious to look around." She winked, getting back to her old self a little bit at a time. She heard the door open at Matts brothers house, and groaned when she saw Gwynne come out. "C'mon, lets go." She said, hopping off the car and letting Nick lead the way. She walked next to him, thanking him for his generosity. "Gets me away from the others.. I'm thinking I've been around them all way too long." She said, turning to Nick with a grin. "Besides, I want to see if your cooking is all you claim it to be." She teased, smirking as they entered the house.

Right as they walked in to Nick's house, he looked back, eyeing the two walking out of the house with a rather interested, and maybe a mite mostile, look. But there truely was no problem, so he simply smiled and closed the door behind them, locking it swiftly, without even looking at it.
The house was huge. At least, for someone who was used to the average house. As soon as they walked in they were in a large, open hallway with doors leading off to various areas. On the right side was a large spiral staircase that went in to what looked like hallway. Straight ahead was plainly visable: A kitchen island with the oven right there. When he moved in to the kitchen Nick directed his guest in to the dining room, which, even when occupied by a dark oak table that could easily seat 14 people, and the miscilanious dark oak cabinets--full of plates that acctually looked like they WERE used-- there was still enough space for two people to walk side-by-side around the room. "Please, have a set and I'll make you something. How does eggs sound? I make 'em any way you like." Nick smiled to the girl while turning on the stove, getting reading for an order.
Everything in the house was a deep color. There was no white in the whole interior; everything was either deep brown (Dark oak) or black or black marble or deep blue. It was a place that made you feel really warm when you simply sat around.

Avery sat, combing her bangs out of her eyes, and giving Nick a smirk. "Already want to know how I like my eggs huh? Well, you sure are a fast one." She smiled, her eyes glinting, showing her humor. "Actually, an omlette sounds real good right about now." She leaned back in the chair, looking around her in awe. The house was perfect, warm, and expensive, just her tastes.
"Whoever decorated your house is a genius. From what I can see it's perfect." She looked at herself, feeling extremely underdressed and dirty to be in such a nice house. She attempted to comb her hair by running her fingers through it, but it didn't do much help. With a sigh, she pushed it back, trying not to think about it. "So," She said, not one for awkward silences, "What do you do for a living that got you this marvelous house?" Avery, once again, found herself looking around the place, finding something new and interesting every time she did.

"First of all, thank you for the compliment on my choice for decoration. Now I don't want you to think that I'm some sort of 'Can do everything' guy, so I'll tell you straight up," Nick smiled, flipping the eggs in the frying pan. "I honestly did not acctually install the walls and whatnot in this place. Though, I do take credit for picking out the colors and materials. I like a nice quiet place, ya know?" One omlette was ready, so he flipped it on to a place and brought it, along with some things like salt and peper, over to Avery at the table.
"And on the subject of my job... wouldn't you like to know?" Nick set down the plate and his eyes flashed with a feeling of mystery and amusement. Of all the things in the world, Ace normally kept how he made the money he did a secret. He not only thought it helped build illusion, but it also wasn't exactly something he would find bragable. Still though, it more than payed the bills. Nick went back to cooking his omlette, whistling a tune that he used to hear all the time in the kitchen. It was simple, but very soothing, as food should be.
"What brings you in to town, Ms. Avery? I think you forgot to tell me that before." Nick was smiling while he asked the question, but something about nit didn't seem right. Of course, he was also flipping an egg over fire.

In a good, if a good bit silly, mood now, Domonic again helped Ebony out of the van, smiling as she tried to hide her own and avoid his gaze (Which he let her do, for the moment). The remainder of the van ride had been very quiet, music notwithstanding. Avery had hers, Ebony had hers, and Domonic went between different tunes of his own, covering The Real Folk Blues, Through The Night, Shiroi Yami No Naka (which quieted him for awhile in contemplation) among others. After they got out, Domonic followed Matt to the door, where apparently it was introduction time. "Domonic, and this is Ebony," he said when it came to him, then with practiced calm, "Matt thought it would be cool to drop in on you on the way back from spring break. Nobody had any objections, so here we are." His smile was doubly disarming, genuine happiness shining through.
"Dude, no problem at all. Matt is like, family, y'know? I...owe him. Yeah. Feel free to make yourselves comfortable 'n all, ya? I have 4 rooms you dudes can use. So yeah. I'd be happy to give you a tour, or...?"
4 rooms. 8 people. After what just happened, I don't think anyone but Matt and Gwynne will be sharing a room... ...can't say I blame them. So much for that - floor for me it seems. Guess I get to go over sleeping arrangements with the crew after this... The crew. How endearing. That's what he called the members of D.L.T., especially the higher ups his friends. Something more to ponder... "Wow, gotta say, I'm a bit surprised - Matthew said you were a cool guy, but... You sure you don't mind, man?"
"Yeah dude, any friend of Matt's is a friend of mine - besides, I haven't seen him in a good while anyhow. Lemme show you guys around."
Domonic thought to himself as Matt's brother gave them the all-points tour. Well, let's see... 4 rooms... Matt and Gwynne, host's guests; Ebony gets one; Skye; and Avery, I guess. That's all the... Wait... Where is Avery anyway? Well, maybe an extra bed, but I still might have to talk to the other guys about who gets the couch, and who gets the bed if Ave's evaporated... "Hey, anybody seen Avery,"[/color] he remarked to his comrades nonchalantly.

Graham pulled up in his Explorer, parking right behind the van as he came in. Well...so they were in Nimbel. He had been here a few times...His dad worked just a few minutes down the road. Climbing out of the SUV, he looked up and down the street, examining the opulence. Quite the neighborhood! There had been a couple places around town that Graham had known...but none he'd ever really been in. This place, however... Seemed like everywhere they went there was wealth and well-being. Every house was four floors, with a basement and an attic. Every yard was beautifully trimmed, meticulously designed, and perfectly green. There was a police precinct every few blocks, and lost in the maze of streets there was surely a cop on every corner, to protect every ADT-marked house and life-insured person. It was rich, it was well-educated...it was Suburbia. A guy could get used to it....
Graham waited patiently for Adam to get out of the car. The others had gone on ahead, and he was being nice enough to wait for Adam to exit his car. While he waited, he peered around, wondering who lived where, and why. He saw Avery, but she seemed to ignore him, so he didn't intrude. Finally, after waiting for a few minutes, he decided Adam could fend for himself, and went into the house. Matt's brother's house, was it? He passed Matt and Gwynne LEAVING the house, which was a bit confusing, but it didn't really matter.
Ducking in through the door, he looked around. Creepy... Kinda looked like a set from a horror movie. Something about it gave him the chills. He brushed the thoughts aside as merely overactive nerves, and stepped forward just in time to say hi to Nick, right behind Eb and Dom. Doug barely even seemed to notice him, and so he kept his mouth shut, knowing when to talk and when to keep quiet. Now, in a man's house (a creepy looking man with a movie-set house in a rich but eerily perfect neighborhood) was the time to shut his mouth.
He followed along on the little tour, stopping into each room, peeking in when he could and trying not to get in anyone's way. He realized soon enough that he was getting the couch on this little venture. Not that he minded at all! Actually, the couch was always quite conducive to sleep for Graham. He had no problems with that. As Dom spoke, though, he made his presence better known.
"Ave's outside. I saw her hanging with this other guy. I'm sure she can take care of herself, though. She's a big girl. I'm Graham, by the way. And really nice house!" The last two comments were directed at Doug, who took Graham's outstretched hand.
"Thanks man. It's big and a little empty most of the time, but I call it home, right? Nice to meet ya Graham. Any friend of Matt's is a friend of mine, ya know?"
Graham smiled politely, chuckled a bit where appropriate, and then spoke again. "So...I guess we should just...sack out then, huh? I mean, we've got lots to talk about, but maybe a little R&R wouldn't hurt, right?" He was looking towards the couch in the living room, which would most likely be his bed, with a certain longing. There was still a lot that hadn't sunk in yet. Like the fact that THEIR WHOLE FUCKING TOWN WAS MISSING. A little rest seemed like a good idea at just that moment....Some time to reflect. Some time to think. They ALL needed some time to think. And not necessarily alone either...They were in this together, all of them.

"God, it's like I'm in some fancy resteraunt. This omlette is amazing." Avery said, taking another bite. She was pretty sure this guy was a better cook than she was, and that was saying alot, though her specialties lay in the desert catagory. In between hungry bites, she spoke, "Uh, well, we were coming back from spring break, and sorta last minute decided 'Hey, we can go to Nimbel to see Matt's brother.'" She shrugged and took another nibble, "I guess we just weren't ready for the party to be over." Avery smiled as he came over to sit down, finished with his own food now.
Once again, she tried in vain to fix her hair, the fact that it was matted and greasy really bothering her for some reason. She usually had a laid back, surfer girl kind of feel to her, but this house was so perfect, she thought she would have to take hours to feel at place in it. "You want to know more about our reasons for being in Nimbel, you tell me more about your job, Mr. Mysterious." Avery smirked, a mischevious glint in her green eyes. She was glad to relax, and take some time away from the group, not quite ready to go back to them. She wondered if they even noticed her absence. Hah, knowing them, Dom and Ebs are pretending to not be madly in love with eachother while watching Matt and Gwynne reach third base on the floor. She shook her head at the images. Graham is probably the only normal-acting one, and Adam.. well.. who knows with him? The omlette she had was large, and she was a little under half way done, so she ate more, gladly, greatful that the asprin was finally kicking in, and her headache was disappearing. Ah, at least something went right...

Nick put two fingers over his lips, thinking it over. He knew that she was probobly not telling the whole story, and he wouldn't mind knowing more, but... He smiled, leaning back. "What more is tehre to know? Party over in the rch city. Why not? What else could it be? I mean, it's not like..." He greq quiet before giving her a strange look, something that cannot exactly be described really. His face was completely serious for jsut as long as he finished his sentance, then it quickly returned to normal. But as he did finish what he was saying, his tone was flat, almsot dark. "Your whole town vanished, or something." Instantly he smiled again, laughing. "Right? That's just insane. Though i'm sure that with all the fun you've been having, you almsot wish it was gone, right?"
Nick stood up, walked over to the fridge and grabbed another can of pop. "Say, you seem to be a little... I dunno. Uncomfortable. How about after you finish eating I show you around this place, eh? Then maybe you could just relax or... really whatever you like. Those people outside seemed to be looking for you, too." He smiled, took a gulp from the came, and walked back in to the dining room. Sirring in the chair closest to Avery, he leaned back and took some more drink quietly, waiting for her to say something.

"Hey Avery! You out 'ere?" Matthew called when him and Gwynne walked out. Silence.
"Ah well. Never liked her." A joke, or...?
"Hold on a second..." Matt muttered, walking back in Doug's house. "Hey! Dudes! Me and Gwynne gonna go check out Nimbel! Enjoy yourselfes, alright? Be good, bro! Make yerselves at home, eh?" He smiled and nodded at Gwynne. "What do ya say, babe? Wanna go check out some hot spots with Nimbel's best guide?"

"Well, first, you will find a tower in my pants..." Matt explained in a serious tone, walking over to his bike and strapping a helmet on. He threw one to Gwynne and laughed. "But seriously, I am going to give you the grand tour... and I have a very special place in mind for when we are finished! So, hop on!" Straddling the bike, he hmm'ed and looked over his shoulder. "The bike. Not me."

Gwynne laughed and rammed her helmet on her head as she slid onot the bike behind Mat and folded her arms around Matt's middle as he started the bike and then went roaring through the street to show her around. Gwynne watched the various buidings all of them were like small mansions Gwynne foudn it interesting how some of them were similar in some ways and different. The idea of living in uch a big place though was daunting. People would expect you to behave in certian ways, she couldnm't do that she was Gwynne she acted how she wished to.
The houses then gave way to a street, it looked more normal then the rest of the place it even had a pleasent looking park and ass they passed the shops Gwynne tapped Matt's helmet and called over the bikes noise. "Can we stop for a bite to eat I'm starving.. and no I will not be saticfied with just eating you."

Skye thought to herself briefly, "Well if anyone is hungry, i'm off to get a bite to eat." walking back outside she went to her truck to get her wallet. She knew she could ahve eaten at Dougs place, but she didn't want to take it upon herself to eat his food. But now what? They were in Nimbel but what was going to happen next? surely to find out what happened to their home but they have no clues, and weren't about to go down to the site. Skye felt a little sick but she was starving.

"Hell, I would eat you, gladly!" Matt joked as he saw an Asahi to the right. "Chinese okay, babe?" He asked, pulling into the parking lott. "I use to eat at this place alot when..."
*Flash*
No.
But.
No to what?
Did she?
Have I...?
*Flash*
"...I lived here. Fantastic food..." He heard an okay and turned off the bike, getting off. He took his helmet off, putting it away and, like the polite gentleman he was, helped Gwynne off.
