"Skye," The King of Dragons said with a smile. "Skye!" He repeated with a playful sigh. "Wake up, Skye... Today is your big day..."

Skye had drifted off to sleep and as she heard the voice she couldn't help but feel a warmth inside her.
"I know your voice..." Skye in human form, looked around in total darkness.

The King of Dragons appeared. He was a gigantic White Dragon. He looked down at Skye and chuckled. "Daughter... I should hope you know me well," The dragon hugged Skye, "Let me look at you." They parted and Skye changed. Transformed into a dragon. The King of Dragons smiled lovingly, "Now let me unlock your True memories..."

Skye took to her true form, a massive white dragon... "Father..." she nuzzled him affectionately, "please show me." she bowed her head before her father. She needed to know of her lost memories...

The King of Dragons nodded and began a recital.
"The gates of darkness will come to pass, yet light will always prevail. Spill only a little of your blood, and Truth will tell... ...what lies beyond The Gates... ...will not let you FAIL!"
Memories unlocked, Skye collapsed. She would remember it all and would sleep now. There would be no more dreams... But what of nightmares?

She looked so wonderfull. Like an angel. She looked like everything that our hopes culminated into being. The one thing that could save us all. And the others, they were her great protectors, even if they didn't know it. Like shining pillars, they'd all been there for her along the way. Life was on them, and they seemed to be doing alright with it all.
So then the question stood, why Gal was so alone all the time. Why was it that they could manage to fight together, and leave him alone? How could the whole world be in a clash for its very existance, and Gal not be involved?
He would find a way to get in touch with the girl, Skye. But untill an oppertunity to speak with her presented itself, he would stay nearby, hiding in the shadows, waiting.

Ordos awoke first, nary in need of a long rest, and watched. He silently moved to the other side of Skye, between her and the others deeper within the cave. He sat and watched her with some interest, taking notice of her stirring now and again. He also watched the others with a careful eye. He did not know their minds, and knew that if they were like the gryphon's that Skye would be in danger, not to mention himself. He conjured a blade of energy in extradimensional space, waiting for the thought to materialize in his hand.

Damn it, damn it, damn it!
Harfang laid quietly, waiting, biding his time. Where they slept was dark, and not entirely comfortable, but it was enough. He still had not said a word to the other members of the group, had instead flown around above them until they had finally stopped for the night, then had come in to rest with the others. He was still angry, and still felt as if his pride had been wounded. And he could practically feel the wall he was erecting between himself and the others. It was as if they were edging away from him at all times, making excuses to keep away from him, trying not to talk to him. And he avoided talking to them at all costs. Especially the nasty Ordos Anima. Gods, what he wouldn't give to rip that man's heart from his chest with his talons! The Gryphon was literally so angry that he shook all over, sitting in the cave, waiting for morning. He slept a little (and missed the moment when Skye became her dragon self), and waited a lot, as time wore on.
But now...now. Now that poltroon, that ninny, Ordos...he was awake. Would he never sleep? He watched over Skye as if she was the world's most precious commodity. Ha! As if that evil wench was anything more than just a tool for the devilish powers of the Stone. That's how Harfang thought of her stone now, as the Stone. It had taken on a sort of holy place in his mind. He lusted for the Stone now, but not to do evil, oh no! He would use it only for good. He wasn't sure what it would do, but it had to be powerful. And he would take the Stone, and he would first use it to smite the evil ones in the cave with him. It made his skin crawl under the feathers, to be in the presence of such pure evil. But he had to withstand it, had to hold out. If only Ordos would go to sleep! Then...then, he could take the Stone, and run use it on the demon Skye and her companions, and then run off with it! Maybe he'd even keep it. Yes....yes, that would be a good idea. Keep it forever....
But he could not act, not yet. Because Ordos was awake. He lay quietly, brooding over the Stone and what its powers might be, and waited for a time when he would be alone with Skye.....

The passages branched shifted and moved about in what could only be considered circles driving Erica into a sheer state of panic every time she rounded a bend and found herself in another of those seemingly endless corridors. She had managed to lose that damned monster after turning another bend only moments before it turned and keeping to the shadows. The reptilian bird had hissed and spar its fury forked tongue flicking from its beaked head before it crawled past and turned another passage.
Tired, frustraighter and terrified Erica wasn’t sure how she had ended up in this nightmare of a place, but one this she did know was she had to get out. It wasn’t right, it was very, very wrong and yet part of her knew this place was apart of her… or rather her and Edañya. It was if something had burrowed its way into this place that had to be the dream representation on their joined minds and warped everything to its bidding. Very good Erica! You’re a bright girl. Not even that bird friend of yours has worked out that much she’s too busy flying around. Hurry up and find me, times running out for you both….
Behind her she head something hiss. Not even bothering to turn around she started running again feeling the ground shake under her boots as the monster gained on her. Up ahead down the passage Erica saw was appeared to be an odd opening. As she drew closer she realized it was a barred door the kind that had the thick heavy bars htta dropped down in front of thick heavy wooden doors. If she could get past there and drop the bars before the thing caught her she’d be home free…
Erica’s sharp eyes scanned the passage ahead of her and then past the door. The lever to do this was only a few feet past the chains holding the gate were ordinary chains form the look of them. One good fire ball would melt the metal in an instant dropping the bars. The creature behind her hissed and Erica increased her speed. Her legs were aching and her lungs burning from having to run so much but she didn’t stop. Instead she focused her will gathering the magic needed to blast the chains and then dove just as she reached the doors twisting so she landed back first on the polished floor within and slid. Erica unleashed the magic fire which hit the chains and incinerated them in the instant. The Bars slid down with a rattling roar and landed much to her surprise on the things neck. Driving the spikes deep into the flesh, the monster gave a gurgling hiss black blood oozing from its mouth before its eyes dimmed and then died, its life’s blood pooling on the floor around it.
Bone weary Erica lowered her head back onto the floor and closed her eyes she would rest for a moment before continuing on just for a moment….
~
The shadows stirred in the marble floored room allowing a shape to detach itself form the darkness and walk over o the unconscious Erica. The humanoid shape tilted its head to one side as it examined her and then bent down picking her up in its shadowy arms and taking her into the darkness. The room dimmed, darkened and awaited the Phoenix…..
~
Edañya hissed with frustration as she turned another sharp bend. The passages all looked alike, there was no change no difference in them and she was getting no closer to Erica. Turning another corner the phoenix found herself gliding down a seemingly unending corridor when the voice spoke to her again. I have Erica with me now though the poor dear is a little worn out. My pet kept her on her running for quite a while really. But come we’re awaiting you in the main hall. Enough flying aimlessly, come to me!
The room suddenly warped and Edañya had to swerve downwards to avoid a wall and found herself plummeting through a dark tunnel. When it ended the Phoenix found herself in a dark room. She landed and then blazed, illuminating the room. There against the far wall she saw Erica lying seemingly asleep on a stone bench and behind her the near decapitated form of the reptilian bird.
And so you are here… all of us together again like old times before I accidentally blended the pair of you… such fond memories… The shadows stirred and slowly a dark shape emerged and with it the room lightened to reveal a vast hall. The Phoenix hissed at the dark shape and blazed brighter then dimmed and returned to her bird form watching the dark shape. ”You… Release us now!” Um… no. You see I need you two to free me from this place. I managed to save myself by leaving my mind within yours during that ah... unfortunate accident and if I want to be free I’ll need you both… The shadow laughed and then moved over to the stone bench it lent over it and tilted its head slightly to regard Erica before turning back around to face the Phoenix… Though I will let you both go for now… You’ll be back here however soon enough that I promise…[/color] The shadow waved its hand and the world became dark once more… [/i]
